Yes it's that time again folks it's a new monthly challenge over at
Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog

Odds & Ends Stamp set
and the

A few of my favourite things monthly kit
a great kit if you want  to try some of Sarah's Favourite things.

I stamped the image on black card (after I had dusted it with my antistatic bag) with versamark ink then added gold embossing powder and heat embossed it, I did the same with the sentiment.

I then mounted the image on gold miri card then a final on a black card blank.
To finish off and keep in with "All that glitters is gold" I added gold peel offs

Smile!!!!

Hi It's Thursday, and that means its my Guest Designer piece for

Today I have used her
The stamps can be stamped as in my background or stamped and stitched as in my topper.
I have used a selection of inks and papers from Stampin Up and the embroidery floss was from my stash.
Once you have stamped the image you need to go around the card and pierce the holes before you start to sew. To prevent knots and lumps leave a cm of thread and stick it down with tape. Once I had finished I Mounted the image on card to match my colours,
To compliment my card I used my Cameo to cut out the Smile! svg which is also designed by Sarah Hurley. Check out her site or the Silhouette  site for other of her digital  die cuts

I also did the embossing on the spare jumper and jeans paper to get the shape of the hexagons for inside the shapes.
I paper pieced his jumper, hair, catapult and jeans and added shading and colour to the rest of the image with Promarkers.
I used my brushes and ink for the background of the image and paper pierced all the way round.
I finished off by adding assorted buttons

Handmade Flowers

Happy Bank Holiday Sunday.
Its that time again its the Purple Challenge
This weeks challenge is
 Handmade Flowers.

So here is my bit of inspiration. I used mount board and cut a Tim Holtz Baroque mover and shaper die with the
holes I then used rust hinge ink and then stamped it with black swirls after that I embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I made the flowers using a whale of a punch 6 petal flower I used a scrapbook paper that I coloured with rusty hinge ink .(See how Hels made the flowers) The leaves were using a papermania punch that embosses at the same time, I then coloured with distress inks and my brushes.
When dry I then sprayed them with iridescent
memories mist, and mounted on my background.
finally added ribbon to hang my artwork

Home Sweet Home

It's Thursday and that means it my weekly offering for my Guest Designer Spot

I decided to design a scrapbook page and use the wonderful Doodle home stamp set,
(Don't know if I told you, but I love this set it is soooo useful.)
I used 11 of the stamps on the page (there are 15!!! stamps in the set) .
I printed off a  picture of our home and then built up the image round it. I first stamped the row of houses then made masks to cover them and then stamped the trees. I coloured all the images with Promarkers. I used the little flower, coloured and added liquid pearls for the flower centre, then added the scalloped edge to the picture. I then stamped the clouds, masked off the sun and I used my ink duster for the background green and blue. To complete the page I stamped the sentiment and hearts and drew on my flying birds!!!!!.
Then mounted it up onto a 12 by 12 square of brown card.
Thanks for calling by
I really appreciate it.

Just to say thank you teacher

Today at Imagine That! we have 3 new releases we have the
(in my previous post)

Although in the UK we have still got at least  6 - 8 weeks before the end of term around the world students are coming to the end of their school year.
I think Kris was saying her girls break up for their Summer vacation in June.
So it's time to say thank you to those teachers.
I decided to use the school boy for my card, I have 2 boys . I coloured the boy as a red head like my youngest ,I actually put the writing in the blackboard by using the png's and layering the sentiment in, using GIMP.
( Wonders never cease lol)
When you buy images from Kris they are png and JPG.
So you can manipulate the png image.
 The value is just stunning.
The backing paper is from the school paper pack from Bella's Beauties  Kris' paper range.
I also used the hand writing practice sheet for the
torn up extras.
The image I coloured with Promarkers, and created the background too.

I then mounted the image on on dark blue and red to compliment with the papers. I have used a 7 x 7 Hunkydory card blank.
To finish the card off I have used 2 buttons.
Thanks for calling by ,
just check out Kris' store if you get chance.

Fuchsia and Hummingbird

It's the 22nd and that means
 3 new releases at

This is a stunning image you get both JPEG and png and such good value.
Here is my card.

I went for a very clean and simple card and let the image do the talking. I coloured the image with my alcohol inks both Promarkers and Spectrum Noirs I tried my best to colour them to be very realistic . I then decoupaged the top of the fuchsia's and the nearest humming birds wing. I used my ink dusters and inks to complete the background.
I then mounted the image on Hunkydory black glossy card and finished off with a lilac card 7in x 7in using  Crafters Companion pearlescent card.

Bobbing along

This is my card using challenge 8 freebie image at Lacy Sunshine challenge blog.
I have used my freebie image and coloured it with Promarkers  I then cut the image out with a spellbinder die. The green paper is from the Garden delight Bella Beauties paper from Imagine That, that I cut to sit in the shape of the card. I added faux shapes to the spellbinder die using stampin up card, to give it a frame and mounted it on 3 d tape. To finish the card off i added distress ink around the outer edge and flowers and a butterfly to finish it off (From Angel crafts).
