Here is my card

For my card I have used a die set from Do Crafts . I used my brushes and distress inks for the background. I cut the images out in white card and coloured them with alcohol pens. I used red , white and blue I have just returned from the UK. I added Wink of Stella to the plane and finished off with a extra large badge which I coloured with the peace sign.

Hi it's Tuesday and that means a new challenge from

So what did I do

1. Using sizzix dies i cut out the bootees twice once in blue card & once in gingham check.

2. I then made the bootees up added shading with ink and added lace & ribbon.

3.I used the sizzix die and cut out the dummy/pacifier 3 times to get the layers and added the ribbon & teddy charm.

4. I mounted up blue & gingham mats onto a 

8 inch x 8 inch card.

5. Cut out a large decorative circle with a spellbinder die

(the Scraping centre has an excellent assortment of Sizzix& Spellbinder dies)

Ink edges and mount on card

6. Mount bootees and dummy on card with 3d foam.

7. Added sentiment using docraft glitter letter peeloffs.
and finished off with ribbon and charm.

The card was made to welcomes a good friends , first grandchild.

Paper Piecing/Piercing!!!!

 Paper Piecing/ Piercing

This is my card using  Little boy image.

So what did I do,

 I used a Stampin Up embossing folder for the

hexagon background

 onto core'dination card and sanded it down to give it the distressed look.

I also did the embossing on the spare jumper and jeans paper to get the shape of the hexagons for inside the shapes.

I paper pieced his jumper, hair,catapult and jeans and added shading and colour to the rest of the image with Promarkers.

I used my brushes and ink for the background of the image and paper pierced all the way round.

I finished off by adding assorted buttons

then mounted it onto a light Kraft card.

Hope you all had a great New year and any resolutions you have made are easy to keep, will make a positive difference to your life and are not a chore.

                           This is my first card,for 2013. A little time to reflect, hence the sentiment.

 Find the stamps I have used  here I also used the  Edgar stamp, who is very steampunk and works great with the time after tie stamp set. I coloured Edgar with my promarker Alcohol inks, cut him out of my card and applied him to the background paper.The edges of the card are inked with distressing ink to create an aged look.
